As an animal communicator I am often
asked if I can contact pets who have transitioned. The answer is yes! More than
likely you too have had experiences that you just can't explain but you just
know you received a sign from a pet who has passed.
There are signs of their presence every where if we recongnize them for
what they really are and not just coincidences. I know before Alley Ann has
passed she had smelled really bad from being so sick. She had her own special
spot on the bed at night that she would curl up in to sleep. It was about three
months after she had passed that I remember rolling over in the middle of the
night and I got the biggest smell of her again. It was right in the spot where
she used to lay. When I opened my eyes I half expected her to be there. Now I
could have very well have dismissed the incident as a dream but I knew it
wasn't.
Don't try to look for signs as you may miss the ones they are trying to
send. Some signs are subtle and others are pretty clear. They often come to us
in our dreams as that is the one place where the veils between the physical and
spiritual world are the thinest. Many times if we are missing the physical signs
they are sending they will enter our dream state to let us know they are
ok. They never go far from us even when they do pass over.
You can always ask that a sign be sent from them to you to let you know
they are still around. The spirit does live on and we are all connected and
continually loved by our loved ones on the other side. We are given presents
everyday by spirit. It is in these gifts that we are able to re-member and feel
our direct loving connection to them and to source.
The
Rabies Fund

With vaccines being in the news more
and more, whether it is for our pets or for our children, it is important we
understand them. In most states the rabies vaccine is the only one required by
state law to be given to pets on a regular basis. Even though the vaccines lasts
at least 3 years some areas still require yearly or two year boosters. The
challenge fund has been set up to do a scientic study to help validate the need
to possibly vaccinate every 5 to 7 years. In doing so we can help reduce the
risks our pets are put at by receiving this shot.
Here is a list of documented reactions to the rabies vaccine.
Behavior changes such as aggression
and separation anxiety
Obsessive behavior,self-mutilation, tail
chewing
Pica - eating wood, stones, earth, stool
Destructive behavior, shredding bedding
Seizures, epilepsy
Fibrosarcomas at injection site
There are other reactions that I have not listed
here but you get the idea. Please visit the website for more information on this
important health matter for you animal companions. If you can make even a small
donation it will all make a difference.
This project depends primarily upon grassroots
gifts for funding the costs of conducting the requisite vaccine trials.

Unique-Matters

If you are looking for a very unique gift for someone I have
just the place for you to go! Please visit
http://unique-matters.com/pet.html.
The woman who has created "Slateography" gifts is Judah Illingworth. Each
slate is created with photos you supply or she will be glad to create just what
you are looking for. These can be created for any occassion or just for
decoration in the home. They can also serve as a memorial for your pet.
Her photos are just stunning and she really captures the feeling of the
moment. There are also some fun slates in there! She has a slate she made
that has the word "Chocolate" spelled out in vegetables. I always knew
chocolate was good for you!
It's the Heat Baby!

Here are two of my girls, Addie and Maggie. They
are both Aussie's with their summer hairdo's. With summer fast approaching it is
important we look at keeping our pets safe and cool.
About a month ago we had a couple warm days and on the news that night
there was a story of a pet locked in a car that needed assistance. Thankfully a
passerby alerted police who broke the window to get the dog out. I know we all
lead busy lives and love having our pet go with us when they can but did you
know that on an 80 F day, temperatures in a parked car can reach 120
F in as little as ten minutes! Normal body temperature for a dog
is about 101 F to 102 F. If his temperature reaches 106 F, they are in danger of
brain damage, vital organ failure and death.
It is always worth repeating, nothing is worth stopping for if it puts your pet
at risk. Be alert also for those pets who may be locked in a hot car on a hot
day. Get involved! Those pets will love you for it!
